About These Terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the CourseMatch platform, operated by CourseMatch Pty Ltd (ACN 693 408 409) of Gold Coast, QLD 4218, Australia (we, us, our).
By creating an account or using the CourseMatch platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. You must be 15 or older to create an account. If you are under 18, we encourage you to read these Terms with a parent, guardian, or trusted adult before using the platform.
CourseMatch is made available to students by their school or educational institution, which has entered into a separate agreement with us. These Terms govern your individual use of the platform as a student user.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes are notified constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Your Account
To use CourseMatch, you must create an account using a valid school email address provided by your institution. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You must not create an account on behalf of another person or allow anyone else to use your account.
Each school licence seat is allocated to one student and is for single use. The CourseMatch assessment is completed once per account. If you wish to revisit your results, you may do so through your account dashboard, but the assessment itself cannot be retaken.

Access and Licence
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the CourseMatch platform for your own personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
This licence does not permit you to:
- Share, transfer, or sell your account access or login credentials to any other person
- Use the platform on behalf of another person
- Reproduce, copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform or its content
- Use the platform for any commercial purpose
- Attempt to access any part of the platform or its systems that you are not authorised to access
Access to the platform is provided free of charge to students. Your school has paid for the licence on your behalf.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use CourseMatch honestly and in good faith. You must not:
- Provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information in your account or assessment responses
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or damage the platform or its underlying systems
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or network associated with CourseMatch
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform
- Engage in any conduct that is unlawful, harmful, or likely to bring CourseMatch into disrepute
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or methodology of the platform
We reserve the right to investigate any suspected breach of these Terms and to take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of your account.
Nature of Results and Recommendations
CourseMatch uses psychometric assessment and personalised data to generate study pathway and course recommendations. These recommendations are produced using a combination of your assessment results and AI-assisted analysis.
The results and recommendations provided by CourseMatch are intended as a starting point for your thinking about post-school pathways. They are informational and exploratory in nature. They do not constitute professional career advice, academic counselling, or a guarantee of admission to any course or institution.
We make no representation that any recommended course will be available, that you will meet the entry requirements, or that any particular pathway will lead to any specific career outcome. You should consider your results alongside advice from your school, career counsellors, and other trusted sources before making decisions about your future study or career.
CourseMatch does not accept responsibility for decisions made by you or on your behalf in reliance on the results or recommendations generated by the platform.
Intellectual Property
All content, software, methodology, assessments, scoring models, and materials on the CourseMatch platform are owned by or licensed to CourseMatch Pty Ltd and are protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws.
Your assessment results and the recommendations generated for you are made available for your personal use only. You may not reproduce, publish, or share them for any commercial purpose.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
Privacy
Your use of the CourseMatch platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is available on the platform. By using CourseMatch, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to CourseMatch if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or engaged in conduct that is harmful to other users, the platform, or CourseMatch.
Where possible, we will notify you before taking action and give you an opportunity to respond. In cases of serious or repeated misconduct, we may act without prior notice.
If your school licence expires or is terminated, your account will remain accessible to you. You will retain access to your results and account dashboard.
You may delete your account at any time from within the platform. Deletion is permanent and irreversible. See our Privacy Policy for details of what happens to your data on deletion.
Disclaimers
The CourseMatch platform is provided in good faith and we take care to ensure the information and recommendations it generates are relevant and well-considered. However, to the extent permitted by law:
- The platform is provided on an 'as is' basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components
- We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any results, recommendations, or course information generated by the platform
- Course information including entry requirements, ATARs, and availability may change — you should verify details directly with the relevant institution
Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CourseMatch Pty Ltd and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, punitive, special, incidental, or consequential loss or damage of any kind, however arising, whether in contract, negligence, or any other tort, arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform or these Terms - including any claim for loss of opportunity or loss of anticipated outcomes - even if CourseMatch has been advised of the possibility of such damage.
To the extent that any liability is found on the part of CourseMatch, that liability is limited to the greater of the amount paid directly by you for access to the platform, or AUD $100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded or limited by agreement, including any applicable consumer guarantees. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Australian law.
Third-Party Services
Infrastructure & AI
The CourseMatch platform relies on third-party infrastructure and AI services to operate, including Amazon Web Services and OpenAI. We are not responsible for any interruption, failure, or change in service by these providers that affects the availability or performance of the platform.
External Links
The platform may contain links to third-party websites, including university and TAFE websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of those websites and their inclusion does not constitute endorsement.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland for any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the platform.
