This Cookie Policy explains how CourseMatch uses cookies and similar technologies on the CourseMatch website and Platform.

Cookies are small text files placed on a device by a website or online service. They are commonly used to keep users logged in or remember settings.

CourseMatch uses cookies solely for essential session management and authenticated Platform functionality.

When a user logs in, a cookie is placed on the device to keep the user authenticated while using the Platform.

That cookie may remain active for up to 180 days, after which the user may be required to log in again.

Without this cookie, the authenticated parts of the Platform cannot function properly.

CourseMatch does not use cookies for:

• advertising;
• analytics;
• retargeting;
• behavioural profiling; or
• cross-site tracking.

CourseMatch does not set third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

The cookies currently used by CourseMatch are strictly necessary for the operation of the Platform.

Under current Australian privacy law and guidance, strictly necessary cookies do not generally require prior opt-in consent where they are essential for the service requested by the user.

Because CourseMatch does not currently use non-essential cookies, CourseMatch does not currently display a separate cookie consent banner.

A user may delete or manage cookies through browser settings at any time.

If the CourseMatch session cookie is deleted or blocked:

• the user may be logged out; and
• authenticated Platform features may not work correctly.

CourseMatch may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes in law, regulatory guidance, technology or Platform functionality.
